holiday streak 08

I just got home from a christmas family gathering. Thank you for all the presents. I think one of the most invaluable presents that I got this year was a talk from Laura Jiejie. Hm, it really cleared up alot of issues that I had running in my head. Issues that I had unresolved… I asked alot of people the same few questions and they provided me with temporal relief… but now I feel as if a minor revalation is occuring in me. HAha. At the very least I have a definite answer as to what I do not want to do in uni. hmm, Hahaha I still have not made up my mind on certain things, but I have a much clearer picture now. HAha

thank you laura jie jie. (haha pai sei, i like calling ppl jie jie, di di, gor gor but i don have the chance or the guts to do it in person… )

anyways i wanna blog about my day today.

so remeber last night i was really bushed from pirates of the carribean right? i slept at one! woke up at 6 plus to go for the competition at SAJC. its some scholastic environment fund policy making debate. NOT FOR a proper debate. i took part with the geog. students. thanks Terence for wishing me good luck. i think it helped! anyways… i dragged myself out of the house and i took the bus to toa payoh opposite trellis towers. i changed bus and i took some bus which i thought goes to SAJC! and u noe what…. it ended up travelling all the way to bukit panjang holland area! wrong direction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i ended up at some place in Singapore called chestnut avenue! lol. highway all the way! and i waited at the bus stop for 20 minutes for the bus to come. sighz.

i was over an hour late. thankfully competitions were designed with buffers put in place (aka registration). and i arrived just as they started! lol.

anyways, through the course of the competition i met a lot of friends. and yah old friend/acquaintances and met new people. hahaha. some so attractive at first. yes that suave speaker… and then become so turned off. heys wait… i wasn’t even turned on lah. was i? i enjoyed myself. lol! okay HIGHLIGHT OF TODAY’S POST:

thank you thank you. i wanna thank so many people. the team. mrs tan. and god. i feel really happy cos its the first trophy i’ve ever won. although i didn’t win the dream British council prize where the 2 selected people will be flown 2 London 2 participate in some environmental conference… i still feel happy. and congrats Jenifer for winning that! (that is if u read my blog at all! lol)

omg i saw hilmie! he is so hot! haha okay lah. Hilmie is so cool! so open… i like ppl like that! why not go play? get what i mean? he is damn pro sia!

popularity

has popularity gotten to me. i have come to accept the fact that in the remaining time i have in CJ, i won’t be able to find a friend here. I know that I have “friends” who will be more than willing to talk 2 me or hear me out or joke around or even help me with my homework  but i doubt that i will be able 2 find a friend who will simply sit down to have a meal with me in the canteen even though he/she is not hungry. yes i noe jocelyn has done that several times with me;  and im really grateful but yah… different streams and stuff… timing abit off.. yah and im sure joce understands what im trying to say too… we’re friends without inverted commas.

i think i kinda noe why this happened. lack of confidence.

see the thing is i realised that i have become more outgoing and in this process maybe gotten to know a bit more people than in sec school. but i think i have become more outgoing  to the wrong grp of people, attracting friends who wont last in the long run… as in so much of my attention has been targeted at the supposedly cooler grp of people that i think i have missed out on the people who could really become my true friends.

comparing my social life in VS. i know that im not the most “popular” there (or maybe i am for the wrong reasons) but i always knew that there will SURELY be someone or my besties there. THERE. just that sitting there simply waiting for me. smiling to me as i walk towards OUR table. or even if there weren’t i know that sooner or later someone will be sure to join me.  geez… now whenever i look at the CJ canteen i lose my appetite.

have i lost my ability to judge which friends are truly meant for me?

or is it that everyone else has also been doing the same as me- searching for something different- the only difference is, i haven’t succeeded.

besties!

“besties”. a term which i quoted from www.explodewithstarfire.com. sadly, my name wasn’t mentioned, although i was at the party. aizz. sad life. the prince has no friends. the price to pay for being a royal.

just joking lah. i noe i’m one of your besties, terence! i hope! if not the above statement would become fact.

by the way, Aaron USED to call me bestie. *chills are sent down my spine* brrrrr…. i feel so cold just recalling it. hahahaha.

now to happier moments. yups i went to Ian’s birthday party last Saturday. As usual he had a extravagant feast. sushi, sashimi, foie gras, spit fire roasted pork. he bought a new nintendo game console, which we played with after dinner. supper hilarious. its called ”wii”. its like a hand held controller. sort of like a wireless arcade  super gun which u use to play. haha yes and we played the game while singing to dream girls. “form chords” with terence and vernon. hahaha full of memories.

I got back my GP essay. i have to thank god for the score of 24/50 for my 1 and a half pages that i wrote. i’m really quite shocked. hahaha. FYI its a pass. not SUB-pass. BUt a full fledged grade E mind you! hahahaha. nothing to be proud of but yes. hahaha. the grade really boosted my self confidence.

recess library window

im sitting at the shcool’s library computer using the computer. looking out the window, i  freaked out/impressed by the JC1s. there is this science class (i inferred from the overwhelming number of boys) at the pull up bars. they AVERAGED 4 OR 5 pull ups. OH MY LORD. cam u believe it? out of 2 or 3 classes, i saw only 1 or 2 boys failing to do 1. can u believe it? i can… cos im witnessing it. hahaha and i see mr tay doing pull up demo so cute! googagaga. mr tay is positively beaming cos he has such a fantastic class of fit guys… unlike his last year’s disappointing J1s. hahaha.

 btw u wanna give a big shout out to everyone who has been regularly commenting on my blog. ive been getting some new/unknown ppl commenting. i am heartened to know that new ppl are viewing my blog. hahaha but i half suspect that they may be ppl i noe that are using a false name. …

im so disappointed in myself. i totally screwed up my vectors because of my careless mistakes. really disappointed. i shd have gotten more sleep last night…

chinese A level

i went to collect A level results today. i got a D. i was expecting better. coming from an A grader for Chinese in O level. i was expecting to accomplish my plan that i had set for myself since the before the start of econs paper. this plan of mine actually caused me to lose sleep on the night before the econs paper. and now it was actually derailed by my firends who pestered me to do something with them! why am i complaining actually?! isnt it GOOD to have friends want YOU! okay Fabian, U have to learn to be grateful for what u have! well so in the end the movie plan got postponed. and we went for coffee. well amy and linton got coffee. i got a decaf. mango citrus. (thank god for amy’s innate ability to talk about ANYTHING under the sun). i really mean ANYTHING!

announcement

announcement: to anyone who has a picture that contains my face in their cameraphone/ digital camera or computer. kindly send it to me asap. pictures of myself are simply priceless. and yes im referring to the weekend parties i attended.

i had a really late night yesterday. i slept at 1 20. i was watching prison break after tuition. yes i was watching last week’s episode on my dvd recorder. i have so little time to do anything. the worse thing is i didnt get to complete the whole episode cos my mum wanted me 2 be in bed. so i went to bed without completing the show and having a potentially disastrous next morning bcos of the anticipated little hours of sleep i would be getting.

so i woke up the next day. at 720! note its a school day. hahahaha. everyone was so tired that no one set the alarm clock. hahah it was only after Rosa woke us up that we realised.

 

my brother decided not to go to school. hahaha i wanted to go to school cos i knew that i would have watsed my time if i didnt. so i woke up took my time and headed to school after a nice shower. the bus arrived shortly after i strolled to the bus stop. because it was so late there weren’t any CJ ppl who fought for seats with me. yay great i got to sit down. hahaha. eye-candy some more.

listening to my mp3, i jingled to the general office to tell them that i was late and brisked to my class only to realise that everyone was at the Performing Arts Centre having a talk. so i hopped down the stairs and happened to meet mr glasgow. hahah he said “oh naughty fabian sssnneakiing into PAC.” hahah he is hilarious. anyways, the moment i opened the door into the BIG auditorium I felt as if i were in a fashion show. So i took out my earphones and gave my fiercest strut and walked over to my class which was at the other end of the PAC. hahaha nice.

conditioning

i had pe yesterday, conditioning period. cj’s track is supposed to be shorter than the conventional running tracks. the guys were supposed to run 15 rounds; the girls 10. under 25 minutes. man, how come girls so good life?

 anyways, i had no motivation to run. no one to chase after sighz i was four minutes off the target set by our pe teacher. at least nvr get punished by teacher. zach they all walk alot so kana punished run on the spot for 2 rounds.
